Philip Cooper teaches Math, Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology and Health. He is an adjunct professor of mathematics at Holyoke Community College. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst with a Masters Degree in Mathematics Education and is Massachusetts certified to teach mathematics 5-12. He also holds bachelors degrees in Chemical Engineering and Spanish. He lives in Northampton and has two children and a big dog.
John C. (Jay) Fortier teaches history, english, publications and art. He has more than 10 years in alternative education. Jay graduated from HCC and Westfield State College with degrees in both Criminal Justice and Social Studies. He is certified to teach Grades 7-12 Social Studies in Massachusetts. Jay has also been a successful coach of Baseball, Softball and Basketball at various high schools and colleges in Western Mass for over 20 years. He lives in Southampton and has 3 children and a very, very small dog.
